For the moment, this is simply an introduction to a new blog. It will be about problems and possible solutions to modern Education for today's students. Lets face it, education is currently not doing its job. Many children grow up without the proper knowledge base for survival in a hostile and less than inviting world. Worse yet, critical thinking is at an all time low, where a good slogan is more convincing that actual conversation.
There is hope, but not by picking any specific educational program. Public Education is hardly the place to gain an education. Some have decided the solution is private schools or home schooling. As good as that sounds, not everyone is capable of participating in those alternatives. The best that can be done for a larger number of students is parental involvement and supplimental teaching outside of the classroom.
It is the purpose of this blog to look at how to enhance a student's education no matter what choice is made on where education is aquired. The discussions will include both methods and critical evaluations of teaching. Please join the conversation and lets make a difference for the next generation. The future is in our hands.
